Lantang National Park covers on area of 1710 sq. km in the Langtang region. It has Mt. Langtang Lirung, Langtang RI (7205m), Bhemdang Ri (6150m) etc and many lake such as Sarawatikund, Bhairabkund and Gosainkund lake which abodes of Shiva according to Hindu Mythology and sacred Hindu Pilgrims place to worship for Shiva. This national park trail offers you to see Ganesh Himal, and Lang sisa range. About one-forth of the park is forest with rhododendron, oaks, blue pine, chair pine, fir, hemlock and spruce and others. It is a haven for the snow leopard, leopard, Himalayan black bear, red panda and wild dog. It is land of Tamang and Sherpa where you can see Buddhist culture and Monastery.
